FAQ

What time should I arrive?

We ask that half day morning & full day guests arrive for 8.45am. Half day afternoon guests should arrive at the spa for 12.45pm for lunch at 1.00pm. All single treatment clients should arrive 10 minutes before their allocated treatment time. Arriving late will reduce your treatment time.

Eastthorpe Hall & grounds operate a strictly no smoking and mobile phone policy.

What do I need to bring with me?

We advise, half & full day guests, for their own comfort to bring dressing gowns, swimming costumes and indoor shoes. We provide fresh towels, and robes if required. The showers are furnished with Molton Brown products & hair dryers for your convenience.

What is the spa etiquette?

To ensure that you & those around you experience the full benefits of the spa, we request that you switch off your mobile phone & leave it in your locker. The spa environment is one of tranquility & relaxation so please respect the other guests’ right to privacy & quiet.

Hydrotherapy Facilities

Please note that the hydrotherapy facilities are only available for half and full day reservations. Or specifically arranged with Eastthorpe Hall.

How does the hydrotherapy area work?

The pool & spa area are operated at the optimum temperatures for your health & wellbeing. Use of these facilities will be structured so that you get maximum benefit from your visit. The hydrotherapy facilities are only available for half & full day guests.

We advise any guests with a fungal infection such as a verruca or athlete’s foot not to use the facilities unless they are covered with a suitable dressing or plaster. This also applies to use of the shower facilities & pedicures.

When do I need to tell you my treatment/package choice?

Treatment/package choices must be booked when you make your reservation, or at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival, in order to avoid disappointment. We are here to offer help & advice in choosing the most suitable package or treatments for you. Kindly note that treatments can be subject to change as a result of the lifestyle form you will be asked to complete.

What about the food served during my stay – I have food intolerances

Our award winning seasonal menus provide a selection of bespoke dishes created especially for you, using only the finest local ingredients. Tea, fruit & herbal infusions are all available with our compliments. We have a selection of wines & champagnes that can be purchased. Food intolerance/allergies will be treated with the utmost sensitivity & catered for. Please be aware that we are unable to cater for food dislikes, although we will endeavour to provide a comprehensive selection to suit all tastes.

What if I am pregnant?

We offer a comprehensive range of treatments suitable for any stage of pregnancy & a specifically tailored package.

Do I need to mention any health conditions/medication or on-going treatment I may be having?

Please be sure to advise the spa if you have any medical conditions that may contraindicate your chosen treatment/ package choice.

How does the gift voucher service work?

Gift vouchers can be bought in any denomination & are valid for 12 months from date of purchase. We do not sell gift vouchers for specific packages, gift vouchers can be used against all treatments, packages & special offers. We do not sell gift vouchers for special offers due to the nature of the offers being for a limited time only.

Gift vouchers can be bought in person, through the web site, or purchased over the telephone with a credit or debit card.

Gift vouchers are numbered. They are non-transferable & non-refundable & we do not offer a cash alternative. You can, however use the voucher to purchase products from the spa.

Gift voucher numbers (issue numbers) must be given when you book into the spa. Failure to present a valid voucher may result in full payment of account until the original voucher is presented.

We are not liable for lost, stolen or damaged vouchers. Cancellation of a booking using a gift voucher to secure the reservation will result in the loss of the £50 deposit fee.

What is your booking/cancellation policy?

We require a gift voucher or £50/person non-refundable deposit to secure any full or half day reservation. Single treatments require a gift voucher or full payment to secure the appointment.

Cancellation within 48 hours will incur the loss of your deposit, cancellation within 24 hours will incur the full cost of your stay. Failure to attend an appointment will incur the full cost of the treatment. We reserve the right to use our discretion in exceptional circumstances.

All electrical & mechanical equipment is maintained to the highest standards. No refunds will be given as a result of any breakdown unless it is due to negligence on our part.

Note: We reserve the right to amend, modify or discontinue treatments & to alter the tariff for individual treatments or packages without prior notice to ensure that maximum standards of service & quality are met. We reserve the right to refuse admission.
